Nicki Taylor (she/her)

DIRECTOR OF TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT, LEAD INSTRUCTOR

Nicki fell in love with movement at a young age, training as a ballet and jazz dancer before pursuing dance as a full-time career. When a performance injury in 2004 left her unable to dance, her mom encouraged her to try yoga—and it quickly became both a path to physical healing and a lifelong passion.

What began as rehabilitation evolved into a deep and lasting devotion to the practice. Nicki was drawn not only to the physical benefits of yoga, but also to its philosophy, which has become a guiding force in her life. Her training includes Annie Carpenter’s Smart Flow, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and Trauma Recovery Yoga. She is also certified in Pilates and Bootcamp-style fitness. With over 1,000 hours of training and more than 5,000 hours of teaching experience, Nicki now co-leads the 200-hour YTT at Heights Yoga alongside Betsy Bouffard.

Nicki’s teaching is grounded, expansive, and rooted in self-inquiry. She is passionate about meditation, journaling, and personal growth, and regularly attends 10-day Vipassana retreats to deepen her own practice.
